Handmade pink and white knitted sweater for Kiki or Monchhichi

Pull rose et blanc fait main pour Kiki ou Monchhichi

Introducing the latest Bubbles sweater, I told you that I was preparing a new sweater for Diana, and that's it, it's ready!

En vous présentant le dernier pull de Bubbles, je vous avais dit que j'étais en train de préparer un nouveau pull pour Diana, et bien ça y est il est fini !

And that's what it looks like, and frankly I love it. So much that I couldn't wait to finish it! A nice shade of pink and white for contrast, but I didn't want a clean cut between the colors. So I mixed my wool to make a smooth transition ... and this is the funniest part: because we could make it simple by taking the two mixed threads but we would have an extra thickness in the middle which would not be welcome. The sweater is worn by a Kiki, but it should not be ridiculous anyway!

Et voilà ce que ça donne, et franchement j'adore. Tellement que j'avais hâte de le finir ! Une jolie teinte de rose et du blanc pour le contraste, mais je ne voulais pas d'une coupure nette entre les couleurs. Du coup j'ai mixé ma laine pour faire une transition douce... et c'est la partie la plus rigolote : car on pourrait faire simple en prenant les deux fils mélangés mais on aurait une sur-épaisseur au milieu qui ne serait pas la bienvenue. Le pull est porté par un Kiki, mais il ne faut pas qu'il soit ridicule quand même !

So, I untied the strands of wool of each color, and I reconstituted a thread made up of strands of the two colors. It's tedious, there is even a moment of doubt when we say "is it really worth it", and in the end we are super happy with the rendering! I did well, I don't regret 😉

It only remains for me to get back to work, because I have already found inspiration, and I am looking forward to sharing with you the result. I wish you a great day, and meet you tomorrow at 12:30 pm for a next adventure with Bubbles, Diana and all their friends!

Alors, j'ai défait les brins de laine de chaque couleur, et j'ai reconstitué un fil composé de brins des deux couleurs. C'est fastidieux, il y a même un moment de doute où on se dit "est-ce que ça en vaut vraiment la peine", et au final on est hyper content du rendu ! J'ai bien fait, je ne regrette pas 😉

Il ne me reste plus qu'à me remettre au travail, car j'ai déjà trouvé l'inspiration, et j'ai déjà hâte de partager avec vous le résultat. Je vous souhaite une excellente journée, et vous retrouve dès demain 12h30 pour une prochaine aventure avec Bubbles, Diana et tous leurs amis !
