Handmade St Patrick outfit for Monchhichi

Tenue de la St Patrick faite main pour Kiki ou Monchhichi !

If last year I had made a knitted sweater to dress Bubbles on the occasion of Saint Patrick, this year I wanted him to wear a full outfit! He had to be ready to party!

Si l'année dernière j'avais fait un pull pour habiller Bubbles à l'occasion de la Saint Patrick, cette année je voulais qu'il porte une tenue complète ! Il fallait être prêt pur faire la fête !

After choosing a suitable fabric I had to look at photos of the famous leprechaun to inspire me and draw a costume for Bubbles, make a pattern, grab chalk, scissors, thread and sewing machine, to make this outfit. Then affix a small loop on a strip of leather, to make the essential belt. By the way, it was an opportunity for me to use for the first time my grandfather's punch to make the holes in the belt. A small thing for some but it has great value for me.

Après avoir choisi un tissu adapté il m'a fallu regarder des photos du fameux leprechaun pour m'inspirer et dessiner un costume pour Bubbles, en faire un patron, saisir craie, ciseaux, fils et machine à coudre, pour réaliser cette tenue. Ensuite apposer une petite boucle sur une bande de cuir, pour réaliser l'indispensable ceinture. D'ailleurs à ce propos, ça a été l'occasion pour moi d'utiliser pour la première fois le poinçon de mon grand-père pour faire les trous de la ceinture. Une petite chose pour certains mais cela a une grande valeur pour moi.

Of course you needed a hat, otherwise the outfit would not have been complete! I would even say more, a big hat! Bubbles is super cute dressed like that! I have fun with my Monchhichi 😁

Naturellement il fallait un chapeau, sinon la tenue n'aurait pas été complète ! Je dirais même plus, un grand chapeau ! Bubbles est super mignon habillé comme ça ! Je m'amuse bien avec mes Monchhichi 😁
